What Are The Applications Of Autorefractor
Eye Exams
An autorefractor is commonly used in eye exams to measure a patient's prescription and to detect refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
Contact Lens Fitting
An autorefractor is also used in contact lens fitting to precisely measure the curvature and prescription of the eye to ensure accurate lens selection.
Pediatric Vision Screening
An autorefractor can provide fast and objective measurements of a child's refractive error, making it a great tool for pediatric vision screening.
Cataract and Refractive Surgery
An autorefractor can be used to measure the changing shape of the cornea and pupil during cataract or refractive surgery to ensure accurate and effective surgical outcomes.
Research Studies
Autorefractors can be utilized for research purposes to track changes in refractive error over time and in different populations.
Occupational Vision Screening
Autorefractors are used in occupational vision screening to ensure that employees meet the visual acuity requirements for their job, reducing the risk of on-the-job accidents.
