Alternative rehabilitation training with different accommodation levels between two eyes

Training Purpose：
By adding positive and negative lenses, the accommodation state of patients is changed. Under the alternation of relaxation and tension, fixation can obtain clear vision, and change the alternation frequency, so as to train the accommodation frequency, ability and speed of patient.

Training Equipment：
Near vision card,trial frame,hand occluder,trial lenses

Indications: Patients with decreased accommodation facility and ineffective use of the above simple training methods

Training preparation:
Place the near vision card on the table with good lighting, and the patient should wear appropriate habitual glasses. If the patient's corrected vision is normal, Select the corresponding line of vision chart,which is above the row of chart with best vision on near vision card; In case of amblyopia, take the visual chart of the best corrected visual acuity of amblyopia.
For example, if the patient's OD is 1.0 and OS is 0.6, take the visual chart of the line of 0.6.
If the corrected visual acuity is less than 0.4, patient cannot participate in this training.

Steps:
① Add + 0.50D lens in front of the right eye and -0.50d lens in front of the left eye to guide the patient to add a hand occluder in front of the left eye.
② The right eye looks at the appropriate size visual mark on the myopia label card and covers the left eye until the right eye can see clearly.
③ Move the hand occluder to the right eye until the left eye can see the visual target of the same size.
④ In this way, a cycle is established repeatedly for 20 consecutive cycles.
⑤ Exchange the lenses added to the left and right eyes, that is, add -0.50D lens in front of the right eye and + 0.50D lens in front of the left eye, and repeat 20 consecutive cycles.
⑥ Increase the degree of the sphere lens in front of your eyes. If you just used 0.50D, change it to + 1.00D in front of your right eye and -1.00D in front of your left eye. After repeating 20 cycles, the lenses of the left and right eyes are exchanged and continued for 20 consecutive cycles.
⑦ After successful completion at 1.00D level, continue to increase the degree of spherical mirror and complete 20 consecutive cycles at the new level.

Note: Range of working distance between positive lens and training: when changing the degree of positive lens each time, pay attention to determine the training working distance. The training working distance is the reciprocal of the lens. If the working distance is 40cm, the maximum working distance of positive lens is + 2.50D; The training working distance is 33cm, and the maximum positive lens is + 3.00D.
