Functions of a Focimeter

Eye care specialists use a lensometer or lensmeter to confirm the doctor's recommendation in contact lenses. In addition to marking and orienting uncut lenses during the production of eyewear, this device can also be used to ensure that lenses are properly mounted within a pair of glasses. Modern technology makes it possible for an auto lensometer, also known as an automatic lensmeter, to expedite the process. Some of the automatic lensmeters available today can also check progressive and bifocal lens prescriptions, assess contact lens quality, and examine lenses for UV protection.
