Binocular Abnormalities Caused By Strabismus 2
Abnormal Fixation
Central fixation refers to taking the macular fovea with the highest visual sensitivity as the fixation center. Paracentric fixation is a monocular phenomenon in which a component of the retina at a limited distance outside the macular fovea is selected as the fixation center of strabismus because the inhibition of the macular fovea of the strabismus is very deep.
Grade III Visual Dysfunction
1. Simultaneous visual abnormality
It means that both eyes cannot perceive their fixation visual targets at the same time, and the monocular is inhibited in different ranges. Simultaneous vision is the primary function of three-level visual function.
2. Abnormal fusion function
3. Stereopsis dysfunction
Stereopsis is the most advanced form of tertiary visual function. In strabismus patients, stereopsis loss often occurs first.
