2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games
The 24th XXIV Olympic Winter Games, namely the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, is an international Olympic event hosted by China. It opened on February 4 and closed on February 20, 2022.
The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games consists of 7 major events, 15 sub items and 109 minor events. Beijing division undertakes all ice sports, Yanqing division undertakes snowmobile, sledge and alpine skiing, and Zhangjiakou division undertakes all snow sports except snowmobile, sledge and alpine skiing.
On September 17, 2021, the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and winter Paralympic Games issued the theme slogan - "towards the future together". On October 18, the flame of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games was successfully lit in Greece. On October 20, the Beijing Winter Olympic flame arrived in Beijing. On November 15, the new MV of the theme slogan promotion song "together to the future" of 2022 Winter Olympic Games and winter Paralympic Games was officially launched on the whole platform. On the evening of December 31, the Awarding Elements of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and winter Paralympic Games were officially released.
On January 17, 2022, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee released the final version of the competition schedule of the Beijing Winter Olympics. On January 22, IOC President Bach arrived in Beijing to start relevant activities. On January 30, the flag bearer of the Chinese sports delegation to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics was determined to be Gao Tingyu and Zhao Dan. At the opening ceremony, the "five rings of ice and snow" broke through the ice. Breaking the ice means breaking the estrangement, approaching each other and integrating everyone. On February 6, Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, said at a press conference in Beijing that the Beijing Winter Olympics has created history, left a new set of standards for the Olympic Games and will open a new chapter in global ice and snow sports.
